The atrociously neglected!
An elderly man of probably above his mid 60s approaching his 70s ; half naked; dirty; with a large septic wound surrounding his noticeably swollen lower right leg. That is the image of a man passed daily at the robots in upper Oxford Street. He begs for money as expected of a street begger, and utters expressions and insults the cause of which is known to him alone. I've known of the man for more than 5yrs now and his swollen septic wound has been since I saw him first. Though he's lost a fairly noticeable amount of weight I doubt it's due to an intentional weight loss diet or program. Police, lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs pass his robots daily, therefore, a considerable amount of people have seen him, that's a fact. So my questions are: 1. Why are governmental structures negligent of street people? 2. Have we become passive to an extent of facing such instances without being moved to assist however we can?
